Product Description
filters continue the brand's long legacy of superior optical solutions. All our filters are carefully formulated to ensure consistent color and accuracy throughout the entire surface of the glass. Why? Consistent color means consistent high quality results. We know that a poorly made filter makes a great lens and camera worthless, that's why the our frame rings are constructed of special alloys that won't expand or contract over time or due to temperature extremes-it's also why we back our filters with an 10 year warranty-because we engineer them to last.
Like all OUR optics, filters are precision manufactured to the most demanding of tolerances. This ensures consistent high quality results even after years of use.

They are just what I needed for taking photos of wild flowers and other objects on nature walks through nature preserve adjacent to our home. I have used on both the 18-55mm and 55-200mm zoom lenses of my digital SLR. I would recommend that these be tried to see if they do what you want before buying a very expensive macro-lens. 10 of 10 people found the following review helpful: ![]() By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) These lenses screw right onto the standard lens I have and the 52-200mm lens also. Even comes with a nice cleaning cloth. So low profile, easy to put in the camera bag, easy to install. I have nothing bad to say about them. They're an awesome buy. 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful: ![]() By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) So, I thought I'd pick these up.First, a nice bonus was that it comes with a compact filter case with 4 lens slots. I ordered this product without realizing it came with that, so that was quite the pleasant surprise, as it's actually a pretty nice, albeit small, filter case. I actually connect the 1 to the 2 and the 4 to the 10 when I store them, opening up two slots, which allows me to carry a UV filter and a polarizing filter as well. Which is really nice when I'm just carrying a small camera bag to not need two separate filter cases. The lens cloth is reasonably good. On to the actual filters. If you go into them with reasonable expectations, it's hard to be disappointed with them. Attaching them to my 55-200 nikkor telephoto lens results in pretty good, pretty sharp pictures. The more you stack them, the more your image will degrade,... Read more |

This review is from: Opteka 52mm 10x HD Professional Macro Lens for Nikon D60, D40, D40X, & D50 Digital SLR Cameras (Electronics) For those who are wanting to play with Macro without paying $500 this is the way to go.I was hesitant, with only one review on this product when i bought it, but hey, [...] Why not huh? if it sucks i could always keep it in my camping gear for starting fires. I got it in, it comes with a cheap little pleather pouch and lenscaps for the font and back. Which is all it needs really. I have a Nikon D40 with a 18-55mm kit lens plus a 55-200vr telephoto lens. See the pics i have submitted for this product in the pics section, the pics speak for themselves on how well this works. It does not interfere with autofocus but you have to be real close. The 18-55 lens worked great with this, but i have achieved better than 1:1 magnification with the 55-200mm lens. At 150-200mm the focus depth is so razor thin that it is hard to make out much . dropping down to 135-105mm seems to work best. It installs just like a normal filter by screwing onto... This review is from: Opteka 52mm 10x HD Professional Macro Lens for Nikon D60, D40, D40X, & D50 Digital SLR Cameras (Electronics) For the money this is an inexpensive lens for trying out macro photography with your new Nikon Dxx SLR. They don't mention that it requires a 52 to 55mm adapter, but the adapter does come with it. Screw it on your Nikon 18-55, keep the VR on if you have it or use a tripod and it will work. Switch to manual focus and have some fun with bugs, flowers, coins and other objects. Try shooting the back of your hand and see a forested plain. The depth of field is poor as only the center or flat part of your subject will be in sharp focus. Shipping was fast. Playing with this will make you start saving for a REAL macro lens. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: ![]() Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Opteka 52mm 10x HD Professional Macro Lens for Nikon D60, D40, D40X, & D50 Digital SLR Cameras (Electronics) I bought this lens after reading a review on Amazon, and as an alternative to buying a much more expensive macro lens. I've found the results to be very impressive, much better than anything I've had before. Though I cannot compare the macros I'm now taking with those of a Nikkor lens that would mount directly onto the camera, I am quite satisfied. |

86 of 90 people found the following review helpful: ![]() By This particular macro lens is ->extrememly<- powerful! Because of this it has a ->very<- low depth of field. If you're new to macro photography I might recommend the Nikon 6t, but if you want the most powerful macro lens in its class, go with this one. It uses a spring clip to attach to the lens, which means you don't need to buy step-up/down rings. 42 of 42 people found the following review helpful: ![]() By Graham Hind (Llandrillo, Wales) - See all my reviews Otherwise for still subjects a tripod will obviously give a better result. Frankly, used with something decent like the FZ30 this outperforms glass on an SLR costing many times more. 36 of 36 people found the following review helpful: ![]() The resulting images are extremely crisp & clean. I haven't had any occasion to complain on any aspect of the quality of the images provided I take enough care to ensure that the subject is correctly in focus. My decision to buy this lens was also motivated, in part, by the Snap-on Universal mount that goes with it. It really is snap-on and significantly reduces 'mounting' time. I'm really pleased that I don't have to screw the Super Macro into my lens threads. Highly recommended for the serious macro photographer. |
